SimplySoles Says…
September 24, 2008
My how times fly and things change. Take for instance last week - I was engrossed with NPR trying to understand the mania of the markets and the trigger for the colossal collapse. The news was on, the internet was going, , and now, 5 days later, I'm taking comfort with my
People magazine. Try as I might, despite my earnest attempts, I'm not even close to being able to articulate what happened on Wall Street last week. But ask me what Christina Applegate was wearing at the Emmys and I'm on it (she wore a blue dress Jimmy Choo heels).
And speaking of
People magazine, I just learned that the editor of
People StyleWatch (one savvy Susan Kaufman) just included in her "Love that!" editorial our Julia flats by Lillybee. This discovery serves many purposes 1
. I should read more
People magazines and consider it "work," 2. the Lillybee line (which I create) is appreciated on more feet (and by more wallets) than just my own; and, 3. I may not be able to describe the pricing-structure of the credit markets, but I know what I know (fashion) and if I stick to it, maybe the markets will turn (ok ignorance is bliss).
I hope you all are well and are finding your own solace from this uncertain times.
Kind regards,
Kassie
PS - For those who interested and voted for me in
Entreprenuer magazine's Entreprenuer of the Year contest, curiously enough none of the 5 finalist have been notified that they are the winner. We joke it's a 5-way tie. I actually hope that it is.)
PSS - Don't forget to vote on November 4th, even if it's not for my candidate of choice. Power to the people!
