Made by hand using Sacchetto construction (also known as slip-lasting) the insole, lining, and upper are stitched directly to the sole, eliminating the need for a shaft or board. This labor-intensive construction gives the shoes extreme flexibility to allow for a natural movement of the foot, resulting in a shoe that encases the foot like a glove does a hand.
