Wish You Were Here
Posted on April 2, 2010 at 1:36 AM

We live and work in DC, and sometimes it’s easy to forget the beauty and wonder of our surroundings.  Case in point, I drive past the White House on the way into the office.  It’s shamefully easy to take it for granted.  Today though – we stopped to smell the roses, or see the cherry trees in this case.  We closed the office and took a stroll down Independence.  The weather was picture book.  The setting was story book. We enjoyed the break and the ice cream that followed. If you ever wonder when is  a good time to visit the Nation’s Capital (and us), during the week of the Cherry Blossom festival is probably prime time.

Today was lovely.  We wish you were here.
